Abu Dhabi is one of the most prosperous and rapidly developing cities in the world, with an impressive population of 1.45 million (2008). Abu Dhabi has long had a motor racing history, both off road and on track. However with the opening of Yas Marina circuit and its inaugural event the FIA Formula 1 (Nov 1 - 3 1009) Abu Dhabi has placed itself at the very forefront of the international motor racing world.
